The U.S. Department of State Official Blog posted an interesting piece about a mentoring program titled Mentorship Program Advances Women’s Entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The U.S. Dept. Of State partnered with Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Women Initiative to create opportunities for women in Pakistan through mentoring.
Ten Pakistani female entrepreneurs will come to the U.S. and receive comprehensive support and tailored training. According to the U.S. Dept. of State Blog, otherwise known as DipNote, “Training will cover topics including leadership, financial management, and strategic planning and operations in order to give these important businesswomen the support they need to grow their businesses, create more jobs, and invest in their communities.”
This speaks to the growing international interest in mentoring. Management Mentors has been receiving increased requests from international organizations who are exploring the benefits of mentoring.
In fact, Management Mentors recently partnered with eMentoring Africa, a non-profit organization in Kenya whose purpose “Transforming Minds, Rescuing a Generation” speaks similarly to the goal of the 10,000 Women Initiative.
We will be sharing more about the eMentoring Africa connection in the following weeks. Stay tuned for this exciting news!
